Many may recognise Green Signature from its founding company “A-One Group” that also owns A-One Claypot House and Hey Yummy. But more than just being a member of the group, Green Signature prides itself in being a vegetarian concept that was created to meet the rising demands of the vegetarian market and to cater to those with healthier eating habits.


At first glance, their menu would probably prompt you to think that they serve meat. Gong Bao Chicken & Cashew Nuts ($14.90), Deep Fried Prawns with Creamy Salted Egg ($14.90) and Hotplate Sesame Chicken Noodle ($12.90) are just some of the dishes that might give you a false impression of the restaurant. But don’t be fooled, all of their dishes are made with mock meat and most definitely super delicious!

2. Elemen

Known for serving healthy and natural food, Elemen is a plant-based restaurant that promotes environmental sustainability. Here, they focus on incorporating both Asian and Western styles to create dishes that are creative and presentable. Instead of serving mock meat, the restaurant prepares other rich-in-protein items such as Kale Tofu with Wild Rice ($12.80) and King Oyster Chop with Egg Fried Rice ($12.80). They also serve up pasta and pizza, such as Black Truffle Porcini Pasta ($18.80) and Wild Mushroom & White Truffle Pizza ($17.80).

3. Grove

Grove is a casual vegetarian restaurant serving up Asian fusion dishes such as Bento Boxes, Noodles and Rice. The restaurant incorporates highly raved food trends into their dishes, as seen from their Truffle La Mian ($9.30) and Rendang Curry with Blue Pea Nasi Lemak ($9.30)—infused with blue pea flower extract to get a nice shade of blue rice. Known for their innovative spin on vegetarian dishes, you will find unconventional dishes such as Vegetarian Satay served in Fresh Pineapple ($25.70) and Vegetarian Goose with Crispy Beancurd Skin with Pancake ($25.70) on their menu, along with different bento sets and dim sum items. The restaurant also serves oriental desserts such as Mango Cream with Pomelo and Sago ($8.60) or Almond Cream with Peach Gum ($8.60) that is perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

5. Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant

For all the mala lovers out there, the restaurant is known for its Mala Xiang Guo (from $18) which serves up to 7 pax. If you’re craving something less spicy, you can try out their homely Ah Ma’s Handmade Mee Hoon Kuey ($6.80) or Japanese Teriyaki Grill Fish & Miso Soup Bento ($11.80).

8. New Fut Kai Vegetarian Restaurant

The restaurant also prepares modern dishes like the Veg Salmon Poke Bowl ($9.50) to cater to the younger population with “trendier” tastebuds. However, if you do order food from this restaurant, definitely try out their Signature Soymilk Miso Charcoal Hotpot ($25) filled with superfoods and collagen! Finally, end off your meal with a bowl of Black Sesame Paste ($3.50) for a sweet finish.

9. Teng Bespoke Vegetarian Restaurant

10. The Salad Shop

The Salad Shop is one of those places that nourishes the soul after a long week of work. I’d like to think this makes the perfect ‘reset meal’ after a weekend of binging junk food while catching up on my favourite Netflix series. 


Their salad bowls come in 3 sizes, the Small Human Feed ($11), Vegman Feed ($13) and Human Feed ($15). Every size comes with 1 base, 1 dressing and 1 topping, so you can customise your bowl to your own liking. If you aren’t a fan of cold salads, they serve 2 variations of Hot Boxes too. For spicy food lovers, the Fire Box ($11.50) served with their signature chilli will be right up your alley. Otherwise, non-spicy food eaters might enjoy the J-Box ($11.50) featuring its lemon and garlic chicken.

11. Vegan Burg

I know, can a vegan burger ever taste as good as a normal beef burger? At VeganBurg, they can. Sure, I was skeptical at first. However, that quickly changed once I had a bite of their winning burgers. 

Their GMO-free plant protein patties mimic the texture of meat and let me tell you, I wasn’t missing a thing. Opt for one of the award-winning Chilli Krab Burg ($11.90). A yummy tribute to the local favourite, featuring a crunchy, gluten-free patty topped with a sweet and tangy chili crab sauce, romaine lettuce, coriander, finely shredded farm-fresh cabbage and a generous scoop of creamy vegan aioli. All meat-free.
